Let me tell you my story of how I got STUCK and felt like I wasn't going anywhere. 

My Story

Ever get those moments where each day just feels routine? You're not quite happy with something, but can't quite put your finger on it. This was me several times over and over throughout the years. Somehow I made it through, but not until after a lot of struggle, wasted time, and pain. There's just too many reasons why I felt stuck, and there was something that made me feel like I wasn't where I wanted to be.

In Summer 2022 I was hit hard with the devastating virus that I had somehow avoided for over 2 years. I was beginning to think that I was just built different, haha! It came right at a moment when I was hitting a great stride in work, romance, fun, and my health. Things were going great! Until I got sick...

My body shut down my motivation and energy so hard I became depressed. No matter how hard I tried, there was absolutely no energy or motivation to be able to do anything that gave me fulfillment and enjoyment. I sat up in bed listening to music on repeat, because it was the only thing I could do. I felt so unproductive, and as if my value was nothing. When I tried to be productive the brain fog would distract me and I'd loose my thoughts and focus. When I tried to be active, the fatigue would drag me to long hours of sleep. I think you get the idea. I use this extreme example in my life one because it is the most recent for me, and two because I felt stuck in every area we are going to cover in this course. 

Often its not a crazy virus that gets you feeling stuck. Its routine. It's outgrowing your environment. It's boredom. It's not knowing where to start. It's not knowing how to keep going. It's a breakup. It's being fired from work. It's not getting that promotion. It's a mismatched social life. It's a bad work/life balance. It's a death of someone close. It's overdue bills. It's a nagging parent, or partner. 

While I was sick, I had to face the truth of feeling stuck so boldly that it hurt. Once the fever was gone and I tested negative, I tried to regain all that momentum I had lost. It did not come easy though. So I used a system to help me get back on board with everything. It helped me get unstuck! And this is what I am sharing with you in this free course!

Why Do A Refresh?

That area of your life that feels slowed or unaligned does not deserve to derail you from living an empowered and fulfilling life. We all actually do a refresh every year! Each New Year its a common tradition for us to make new resolutions that we feel would improve our happiness. When we do, there is also a great spark of excitement for becoming the "New You" you have always wanted. You reflect on areas you feel stuck in, and set a goal to improve.

A Refresh is a way to become the powerful version of yourself. You can do this by identifying what is not working and doing something about it. That feeling of accomplishment and fulfillment truly brings a happiness that is Refreshing.

"I just really need a vacation right about now."

"I am too busy to slow down and fix this or that."

"I know its not the best, but I don't know what to do about it."

"I just need to do 2-3 more years of this and then I can move on to something better."

I've said these to myself, and I've heard it from many others. These are all indicators of needing a Refresh.

This is why you are stuck: 

You keep waiting to feel motivated before you do things. This is why you are in a cycle of starting and quitting. Whenever you are motivated, you get out there and accomplish something that brings you a feeling of relief. But that feeling only lasts so long as you are motivated. It's a false belief that you have to be motived in order to do something.


When you are stuck...that motivation isn't there! So do not focus on being motived to move you forward. It's about "WHO YOU WANT TO BE" that will get you unstuck. Who you want to be is someone who will commit to act in alignment with the life you want.

A Refresh is like a reset on everything. It's taking a few steps back to get on board with what next steps will help you move forward. It's not taking on everything at once, but focusing on what you can do to move yourself forward. A Refresh is not about soothing your worry or anxiety, it is a clarity in direction that brings you relief.

Life Mastery Cycle

They key is to identify where you are at, and break down your next way forward.

This is where I always start. The Life Mastery Cycle is a pattern of growth I learned a while back that helps to visualize what stage of growth I am in. The feeling of being stuck can get so annoying, but it can be really simple to identify what's going on with some practice. "What do I know I am unsatisfied with?" - Awareness makes that overwhelming feeling of anxiety, dread, annoyance, and dissatisfaction feel smaller. It comes to a simple statement. "I am unsatisfied with (not feeling valued at work)." You can fill in the blank.

"Do I know how to solve it?" - Just like setting New Year Resolutions, this is where we can look forward to positive improvement.

But, what do we do when its difficult to identify why we feel stuck? Many times you wont know what it is, and how to solve it. That is part of the life cycle mastery - discovery and change. Focus on what you know you can do, or learn how to do it. Notice the growth you make in those areas while accepting that there is more you're not too sure what it is. With time, you'll get closer to knowing it because you are finding fulfillment in areas you know you can.

When I don't know why I am feeling stuck, I always come back to focus on who I want to be. I check myself to see if what I am doing and how I am thinking are in alignment with who I want to be. I know that if I stay on track with this, I will soon discover what I don't know and be able to make the change needed to keep moving forward.

Circle of Stuck

The next tool I use will help you visualize your attitude in areas of your life. I use this to gauge how I am doing, and discover which areas I can really narrow my focus on.

Simply put, it helps to see where you are satisfied or stuck.

The Circle of Stuck is a useful way to notice which of the 4 major areas of your life you are feeling stuck in. These 4 areas (Dating & Relationships, Work & Career, Health & Wellness, Fun & Happiness) are common areas that I've seen blocks build in myself and in others.

I know how life can just slap me in the face at times. When I fell sick it was one of the times where I felt blocked in all of these areas. My motivation and creative ability was really stuck. I remember a time when I was dumped and it really did feel like the end of the world  (Ughh, that was hard). After 3 years of living in Japan, I felt stuck in my career. There was very little alignment with the growth I had gone through and my future goals. I know how there are many factors that can cause a slump. That's also why I know what needs to be done to get out of it. It's a pattern! The Life Mastery Cycle is growth. And it means we need to explore the unknown and make it known. This is how we can continuously find satisfaction and fulfillment in ourselves.

Now that you know the general area of your life that is stuck, you can begin to empower yourself to step in to the powerful version you want to be in this next season of your life. 

Your lowest scoring area in the Circle of Stuck is the area to focus on. Let's follow the Life Mastery Cycle to uncover what you need to do in order to break through. Ask yourself the following, and be as honest as possible:

1. Do I know what is causing me to be stuck? 

 a. If yes, do I know what needs to be done?

- When you know what needs to be done, you need to set small goals that will help you progressively move into that state where you are unstuck. I say progressively, because many of the areas we are stuck in need time to change. 

2. Do I feel unsure about the reason I feel stuck?

 a. If yes, do you also feel lost about what you can do?

- Whenever you don't know what exactly is causing the feeling of being stuck and you don't know what you can do about it, I want you to choose the area of life that you feel is most related to that stuck feeling. Then I want you to list the things about it that you find fulfilling. This is how you are going to identify what is working for you. Spend time focusing on those fulfilling things, and soon you'll begin to notice if any stuck areas arise.


This is an example of someone who has a clear area that is stuck. At this point, you may already know what is causing the feeling of being stuck. Now its about getting clear on how dedicated you are to improving that area of your life.


This is an example of someone who has a good balance in most areas. It may be difficult to determine where the stuck feeling is coming from. Even so, this is when you want to make a list of what you're grateful for in each area. This will not only appreciate yourself for how you've grown, but it can help you notice some parts that still could be better. When you realize that, its time to focus on that area and commit to improving.

Refresh Action Goals

You have everything you need already. Just like setting a New Year resolution, I want you to dedicate yourself to who you want to be. Plan some action steps, and reflect on how things go each week. The relief that you are moving forward is the Refresh you deserve.

This is really what helped me to get unstuck. Especially after having been hit so hard with sickness that my motivation and creativity had all gone. It's been hard several times to understand what I can do, and how I can improve my situation. I dedicate myself to small forward progressing actions. I dedicate myself to reflecting on my growth and change. From this, I have become unstuck in so many areas and seen my own growth. 

This is exactly what I want for you.
